It has not been a time of peaceful reflection. It has been a time of running circles through alternate futures, constant debating over where to go and what to do, until we’re exhausted, arguing and sick of thinking about it. What to do?
We went on a trip. The idea came less than week before we left, and grew from a three-day visit of me and my daughter to see my sister and family, to all three of us, to a spousal trip to check out life on the Island, to almost two weeks of traveling, camping, visiting and being in nature as much as we could.
We are back, refreshed, relaxed, happy, connected, and optimistic about a future direction that is slowly emerging.
In the meantime, we enjoy the view out our back window and the wildlife we get to enjoy even in our busy city.
