My daughter and I sometimes like to write poetry. Today, with the snow swirling, we settled in by the fire after our walk to put some words down. I’m enjoying the haiku form lately–what I know of it–and had a few ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FALL AIR<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tiny snowflakes swirl<\/p>\n\n\n\n
stinging cheeks, nose, chin, ears–<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pink chilled November<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
LEAF CYCLE<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Leaf-glow fades to brown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They float down to rest, melting,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
rejoining the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
LOW SKY GIFTS<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Low, thick, half-dome sky<\/p>\n\n\n\n
White-gray clouds with autumn gifts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
